I am thrilled and honoured that you are part of our strong team! S.L. Hunter offers an inviting work environment where you are welcome to question, encourage and challenge me, yourselves and each other. You belong to a progressive team whose input shapes this growing business. We have an environment of trust and respect, and I hope you agree that it is a healthy workplace where ideas are always welcomed and evaluated.

Because of our hard work and client service excellence, once again we've been able to grow our office in 2007, and to implement aesthetic enhancements. This will allow for a more comfortable workspace for employees and more comprehensive services to our clients. Another exciting addition to our clinic's voice lab is the videostroboscopy, which will be a very positive value-added service for our community of voice patients who would otherwise have to wait up to one year for this diagnostic service.

S.L. Hunter is an employer that is both client and employee-centred. As such, the following are company paid: CASLPO and OSLA fees and professional liability insurance fees (totaling more than $800 per clinician), group health benefits and paid time-off for compassionate reasons. Professional development is encouraged and funded.

Speech-Language Pathologists have support from an experienced Administrative Team of three, and at least one full-time Communicative Disorders Assistant that many service providers do not employ. You have: work privacy in your own office with a personal computer, email and high-speed internet access; the opportunity to develop expertise in clinical areas of interest to you; input into the purchase of assessment and treatment materials, and, formal and informal access to several other full-time speech-language pathologists to share new ideas, discuss challenging cases and ask questions.

There is no bureaucracy; you won't find yourself perpetually engaged in "operational reviews", "restructuring" and unnecessary delays.

I appreciate that everyone has responsibilities and pressures outside of work. That is why we offer a flexible work schedule and caseload whenever possible. There is more paid and unpaid sick time, statutory holidays and job protected time-off for compassionate reasons than required by employment legislation. Considering our small business size, we provide ample employee vacation time and the convenience of hours customized to suit your personal needs.
